The Feminine Memory: women in history, the history of women

About this publication

The Ibermuseums Program and Spain’s Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports published this digital publication in March 2017 to offer the public 153 cultural goods from 81 institutions in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Spain, Mexico, Portugal and Uruguay.

Summary

The Feminine Memory: women in history, the history of women, represented the culmination of the Spanish project called Feminine Heritage, which, after five editions, concluded with this publication.

The initiative set out to remember the contribution made by women in the genesis of our peoples, in transmitting our values and in developing our societies. This publication is a milestone in the program to support curatorial projects, created to promote the display, appreciation and expansion of access to the cultural assets of Ibero-American countries.
